Water in South Asia is marked by a stark contrast in resource availability, with some regions experiencing abundance and others facing severe stress. Transboundary rivers and shared groundwater complicate the situation further, influenced by geopolitics, population growth, and the need for robust water infrastructure and education.
We are fortunate to have teams like South Asia Young Women in Water working towards solutions. We speak with Meghna about the region’s key water issues, the origins of the organization, and the crucial role of women in advancing water management.
